Common situations

Perhaps you are in one of these cases

French visa & residence permit

The prefecture requires a translation by a translator registered with a French Court of Appeal — precisely what we deliver, ready to attach to your file.

Getting married in France

City halls ask for a recent, translated birth certificate. We translate yours within your file's deadline and advise you on any additional formality.

Using a French certificate abroad

For the United States, the UK and most countries, your French certificate will need a certified translation and often an apostille. Tell us the country: we handle both, in the right order.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, answered

Will my translation be accepted?
Yes. Our translations are produced by sworn translators registered with the French Courts of Appeal; they bear a stamp, signature and certification wording — exactly what French prefectures, courts, notaries, consulates and universities require, and what foreign authorities expect from a French certified translation.
Full copy or extract: which one should I translate?
The receiving authority specifies it in its list of required documents. Bring what you were asked for — and if in doubt, show us the list: we will tell you exactly what is needed, rather than have you pay for an unnecessary translation.
How long does it take?
For a simple document, the translation can often be completed within 24 to 72 hours. If your deadline is close, tell us: our express service handles urgent files as a priority.
Do I need to bring the original?
A clear copy or photo of the document is enough for the quote and to prepare the translation. Originals must be produced with the certified translations. You can also simply drop everything off at our Champs-Élysées office, no appointment needed.
