Frequently asked questions
Your questions, answered
What is a certified translation in France?
In France, a certified translation (traduction assermentée) is produced by a sworn translator registered with a French Court of Appeal. It bears the translator's stamp and signature and is accepted by prefectures, courts, notaries, consulates and universities, in France and abroad.
Will my translation be accepted by the prefecture or my university?
Yes. Our translations are produced by translators registered with the French Courts of Appeal, which is exactly what French authorities, universities and courts require.
Can I just walk in without an appointment?
Yes. Our office at 102 avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris 8th, welcomes you Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm non-stop, no appointment needed. Metro George V or Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Do you also handle the apostille or legalization of my documents?
Yes, and this is our strength: certified translation, apostille and consular legalization are handled together, in the right order, with a single point of contact. You collect a complete file, ready to be presented.
Do you offer an urgent service?
Yes, a 24-hour express service is available for most languages and standard documents. Bring your document to the office or send it for an instant quote.
Which languages do you translate?
All languages without exception: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch, Arabic, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and many more. Since 1990 we have built a network of sworn translators covering every language combination.
